River Cottage Wedding Photography

 So, where to begin. First of all a big thank you to Esme and Mike for choosing me to be their documentary wedding photographer. It was such a fantastic day. The people, the locations, the weather, the food (mmmm the food – you can see the 9 hour spit roast lamb later on) – all added up to create a really wonderful wedding. River Cottage is a fantastic venue. Nestled in an idyllic valley, you can’t help but feel relaxed and happy when you’re there. I fell in love with it! And it really suited Esme and Mike down to the ground – relaxed, welcoming and friendly. Walton Castle Wedding Photography: Tony & Julia

This was quite an unusual wedding for me as I only met Tony and Julia in person 3 days before their wedding. They’d got in touch beforehand from overseas and booked me for documentary wedding photography based on a brief phone call and from having seen my portfolio. I was really honoured to be there on the day, it was a LOT of fun. There’s quite a few photos from this one, so you might want to make a cup of tea (or pour a shot of vodka if you really want to get into the swing of things – all will be explained) before sitting down to look through it…

I arrived at Walton Castle in Clevedon under gathering clouds and with a mixed forecast for the day. We were all hoping that we’d get lucky with the weather as they had an outdoor ceremony planned.
